Childcare services
Following in a railway worker’s footsteps!
Childcare Services between the ages of 5-12
As they visit different railway vehicles, childrens discover that many workers are needed to operate them: the engineer runs the locomotive, the porter works in the sleeping car, the train conductor works in the caboose and the motorman operates the streetcar. To better understand a railway worker’s job, the guide invites children to put on gloves, inspect a truck, check for hot boxes, and see if it is ready to roll. Before leaving, children stop at a railway switch to learn about safety near railroad crossings.
Capacity: up to 100 children
