The Royal Tour of 1939 (presented on June 12th, 2022)

On June 12, 1939, King George VI’s royal train was pulled by locomotive CPR 2850 from Delson, a municipality that is home to part of Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum, to Sherbrooke. To commemorate this date, join us for a virtual tour of the CPR 2850 and learn about the 1939 Royal Tour of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. During this tour, you will virtually explore the exterior and interior of the locomotive, as well as see documents from our archives and objects from our collection!
